Adam Ramsey Akkach passed away on November 12, 2022. He was 24 years old. A founder of the Nu Alpha Chapter at Northeastern University, Adam graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University’s Honors Program in 2020, becoming the chapter’s first brother-alumnus. Akkach was also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma honors fraternity and renowned throughout the business school for his intelligence and work ethic. Starting his career in private wealth management at Goldman Sachs, he worked in New York City before relocating to Dubai. Adam was known by all as a gentle, kind soul, and his joyous presence will be dearly missed. His Nu Alpha brothers clearly remember the way his smile and positive energy could lift up an entire room. He was one of the first members of the initial Nu Alpha interest group and worked tirelessly to build the brotherhood towards a charter. Adam was a world traveler, an avid chess player, and a beloved son, brother and friend. As a member of the DKE Club in New York City, Adam would welcome active brothers to visit him, and always provided invaluable knowledge, insight, and encouragement to all. Although his life was cut short, he leaves behind a legacy that his brothers will always remember. Adam will forever stand as the golden standard for what a Deke should be.
