Charles Douglas "Doug" Bohlke February 6, 1931 April 29, 2022 Olympia, Washington Doug was born in Yakima Washington to Harrie O. Bohlke and Dorothy Tucker Bohlke. He grew up in Seattle and graduated Roosevelt High School in 1949. Doug graduated Washington State College in 1953. A member of the Lambda Chi Fraternity and a pitcher for WSC Baseball. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington and served in the Air Force for six years. Doug met his bride, Barbara O'Brien at WSC and were married in 1956. Highlights of his career were 17 years with Safeco Insurance Company, President of the Association of Washington Business and a contract Lobbyist until his retirement. He was proud to represent Business issues throughout his career. An avid golfer, Doug won numerous golf championships and the Washington State Senior Golf Association Championship five times. He was awarded "Washington State University Cougar Dad of the Year" in 1982. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Bobi, his three daughters, Karen Bohlke (Roy Wilson), Pam Shaffer (Mark) and Betsy Durant (Steve). He had five grandchildren, Trevor Durant, Kayleen Durant Evans (Malik), Janessa Durant, Bridget Pulitano (Dominic) and Baylor Hahn (Katherine). He had four great grandchildren, Amari, Talan and Aurora Durant and Kameron Evans. Doug loved the Lord and in his honor, a Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church where he and Bobi were members for over 40 years.
