Obituary

Caleb Issac Taulbee, age 23, of Logan, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Sevierville, Tennessee. Born Nov. 24, 1998, in Logan, he was the son of Garth Boyle and Lynn Binder (Roundhouse) Taulbee.Caleb was a 2017 graduate of Logan High School, where he was a member of the Thespian and National Honor Societies. He received his bachelor's degree in business management and history from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where he was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Following graduation, Caleb worked in the accounts receivable department for the Rocky Boot Company in Nelsonville, Ohio. Caleb was also a member of The Tree Church in Lancaster, Ohio and a Hocking County 4-H alumnus.From the age of 5, Caleb was a 17year member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. He was well known, respected, and loved in the rabbit showing community, in which he competed around the United States garnering several national awards. His hobby turned into a love that he was able to share with his grandparents.Other than his love of traveling with his family on the show circuit, Caleb loved performing in the theater, going all in on family game night and collecting Star Wars with his dad. More than anything, he was a loving and kind-hearted soul. To those that knew him, that never wavered; he loved as much as he was loved.Besides his parents, Caleb is survived by his stepbrother and best friend, Nicholas Stephen (Sarah Pierce) Rhodes of Columbus, Ohio; grandparents, James Lester "Jim" and Jacinta Ann (Boyle) Taulbee of Logan and David and Kathy Roundhouse of Lancaster, Ohio; aunt, Gretchen (Kurt) Nihiser of Lancaster; uncle, Michael (Melissa) Roundhouse of Lancaster; cousins, Xavier Nihiser and Alec and Nora Roundhouse; and many friends and colleagues. A funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 , 2022 at Roberts Funeral HomeLogan with Pastor Michael Giacomoni officiating.Burial will follow in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good Hope Township, Hocking County, Ohio.Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Caleb's memory may be made to the American Rabbit Breeders Association Youth Scholarship fund, a scholarship in which Caleb received as a youth.
