Obituary

Charles Percy Oliver age 80, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama died Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Oliver was a 1957 graduate of Murphy High School and Auburn University Class of 1965. He joined the National Guard and was called to active duty during the "Bay of Pigs." He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Price Oliver, Sr. and Rebekah Anderson Oliver; and one brother, Noah Price Oliver, Jr. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie Annette Deese Oliver; five children, Warren (Elizabeth) Davis of McKinney, TX, Karen Davis Hartline of Mobile, AL, Sharron (Ryan) Tan of Myersville, MD, Tracy (Gene) Rynkowski of Ringwood, NJ, and Charles Anderson Oliver of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, Dillon Tan, Devon Tan, Dawson Tan, Zachary Davis, Renee Hartline, Kaela Mogan, Catherine Morgan, Virginia Rynkowski, and Aria Oliver; one brother, Will Oliver; one sister, Rebekah Oliver (Pat) Gautreaux; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama with Reverend Jamie McElroy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Lukes Episcopal Church. Arrangements are by Ascension Funeral Home, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
