Obituary

Cheryl Lou-Anne Cherniak, age 57, passed away on May 6th in her home, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband: Bruce; three daughters: Amanda, Danielle (Peter) and Katelyn; mother: Lillian; sister and brother: Lorie and Earl; as well as her most beloved granddaughters: Ava, Kylie and Brooklyn.

She was predeceased by her father: Stewart; step-fathers: Danny and Bill; as well as her brother: Vince.

She was born in Calgary, as Cheryl Strength, and she embodied this name her entire life. She was married to Bruce for 39 years, and they were high school sweethearts. Cheryl lived most of her life in Alberta, and made Bonnyville her forever home. She enjoyed touching the world with her delicious cinnamon buns as a stay at home mom, and this prepared her to become a thriving business owner and Florist at Buds N Blooms. She spent the remainder of her life with her family and friends, laughing, cooking, camping and partying in her “deadly den”.

Cheryl held many friends and her extended family in her inner circle, treating her nieces and nephews like children, her cousins and friends like sisters and brothers, and she would want all of you to know how special you all were to her. She would ask you all to support each other and her family now.

Cheryl’s wishes were for everyone to gather and toast her spirit and beautiful life. Her Family ask you to set aside time to join a virtual celebration of life, May 15th at 2pm (details to follow).
