At 11:18am on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Cicily Joseph, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 80 years old.
Cicily was born on Jan 23, 1940 in Kottayam, India. She received her nursing degree in India and married David Talakkottur. She alone traveled to the United Kingdom to pursue her career in nursing where her husband later followed her. She raised 3 girls and 1 boy, Ashley a nurse, Anna an actress, Julia a business owner/engineer, and Charles a medical doctor/business owner.
Cicily had a passion for God and serving people. Her hobbies included traveling, being a senior cheerleader, a volunteer clown and volunteering with hospice. She was an avid church goer and went on several pilgrimages. She enjoyed spreading the word of God. She was known for her kind and generous heart, peace seeking nature and cheerfulness. She was also a very good cook with her fish curry often being requested.
Cicily was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as all her siblings with the exception of one, her youngest sister. She is survived by all four children and many grandchildren as well as her younger sister Theresa, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Cicily chose cremation. There will be a memorial to celebrate her life on Dec 20th, 2020 at 2pm in Kissimmee, Florida. In addition, there will be a virtual live streaming of the event due to the Covid pandemic requiring smaller gatherings. In lieu of flowers and in her honor, donations may be sent to a Christian charity of your choosing or a Missionaries of Charity near you if you so desire.
