Obituary

David Faloon, 81, of Sun City Center, Fla., formerly of McMurray, died Thursday, September 1, 2005. He was born June 30, 1924, in Pittsburgh, a son of Robert and Rosabel Fischer Faloon. Mr. Faloon attended Mt. Lebanon schools, where he was the blue devil, and is a life member of Penn State Alumni Association. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Faloon was a life member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 764, a charter member of Peters Township Ambulance Service and trained countless people in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and as emergency medical technicians. He was a longtime member of Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church, serving the church in many capacities, most recently as an itinerant missionary within Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference Network. Mr. Faloon retired from Univac and then retired from Peters Township School District. He was the beloved husband of the late Jean Anne Jones Faloon. He was a loving father of Elisabeth (Larry) Frontino Jr. of Summersville, W.Va., Priscilla (Keith) Hare of Granville, Ohio, and Mark (Debbie) Faloon of El Reno, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother of Robert "Rube" Faloon of Mt. Dora, Fla. Friends will be welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, Peters Township, 724-941-3211. Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 5, in Brush Run Cemetery. A memorial service to Celebrate his Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in Peters Creek United Presbyterian Church.
