Obituary

Eulalee Adina Campbell, nee Burnett, 87, passed away on March 30, 2021 surrounded by her family in Brooklyn, New York, USA.


Affectionately known as Miss Girlie, she was born on September 19, 1933 to Lucille Brown and Massa Burnett in Springfield, St.

James, Jamaica B.W.I.


Miss Girlie met and married Stanford Campbell in 1970 and they have three children, Raphael, Pauline, and Raphaelita, a niece whom they adopted. Miss Girlie was self-employed in the Jamaican Tourism Industry making beautiful baskets and other items to sell in the craft market to help support her family.


She dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren. She excelled at supporting her children and their children through the passions and challenges of their lives. In 2010, Miss Girlie emigrated to the United States to live with her daughter Pauline and helped with raising her grandchildren.


Miss Girlie was passionate about cooking and baking and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in the kitchen making scrumptious meals.


Miss Girlie never met a stranger. She enjoyed going out and meeting new people, talking about current events, travelling and attending church. She was a member of the Center for Christian Fellowship in Brooklyn.


Miss Girlie was predeceased by her husband, Stanford, and her brothers, Nathan and Steadson Scott. She is survived by her children Raphael, Pauline, and Raphaelita; grandchildren, Elecia (Sherene), Ricardo, Rohan (Dean), Tanya, Dwight, Oren, Keyron, Deneille, Daniel, Sue Ann, and Keith Jr.; great grandchildren, Andrew Jr., Aalyana, Romario, Aiden, Amali, Amariah; and siblings Keith Irving, Gerald Scott, Olive Scott, Jennita Scott Malcom, Beryl Reid, and Denford Reid.
