Gerald ‘Jerry’ Montoya, 59, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died August 18, 2020, at his Albuquerque home.
Mr. Montoya was born on January 13, 1961, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Nerio and Irene Montoya.
Jerry enjoyed playing golf, live music, cooking and watching old movies.
He is survived by his brother Andy Montoya of Albuquerque, his wife Maria Herrera-Montoya of California and nieces, Jessica Peralta, her daughters, Natalie and Christine Montoya, her son, Darius and daughter, Zoey.
Jerry was loved and respected by all. Jerry had an extended family where he worked. The Department of Health was his life and his beloved family. In particular we would like to thank – Jared Rounsville, Mauricio Rodriguez, Connie Dixon and Michelle Pacheco of the NMDOH for their assistance to our family during this difficult time.
