Obituary

Jefferis Moore Pettiss, Jr. passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the young age of 84. He was born in Mobile on May 11, 1938 to Marion Ross and Jeff M. Pettiss. Jeff graduated from the University Military School known as UMS/Wright school today. He attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

He received a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of South Alabama. He worked for many years at the Salvation Army as a counselor.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen Boyd Pettiss Cuneo (Jimmy) and three grandchildren: John Ross, Marascia, Joelle Cuneo and one great grandson, Jamie.

He is also survived by two sisters: Mary Lane Pettiss Carleton and Marion (Sugar) Pettiss Warren and

brother-in-law: Dr. Malcolm Warren, and nieces and nephews: Malcolm Warren, Jr. ( Laura), Jamie Warren,

Marion Warren Randall (Mike), Mary Lane Carleton and Douglas Carleton, Jr.
