Kimberly Gaye Caldwell passed away on Wednesday, March 9th, at Scott and White Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Temple, Tx. She was in the presence of her husband, Rex and daughter Samantha.
She was diagnosed with throat cancer in late December 2021. Facing it with strength, courage and dignity she never wanted to give up. She spent her last three months battling the disease. She forsook the traditional chemotherapy hoping to prolong her life and give her some relief, but the aggressiveness of the disease caused drug resistance and it spread throughout her body.
Kim was born in Uvalde, Tx but spent most of her life in Temple with her husband. Kim was a Cosmetologist and owned a nail salon for over 30 years. Being the people person she was she loved what she did and the many clients and friends she had. After recently retiring she spent the rest of her life with her loving husband in Temple.
Kim is survived by her husband, Rex Lynn Caldwell of 40 year. Her daughter Samantha Renee Sanchez (Caldwell), son in law Larry Anthony Sanchez, Grandsons Khilynn Anthony Sanchez and Rhilynn James Sanchez, daughter Emmy Lou Caldwell, and sister Cynthia Lou Bryson.
She was proceeded in death by her Father Donald Ross Bryson, Grandmother Hazel Leota Martin and Grandfather Houston Felix Martin.
Kim did not wish to have a service following her death so we are honoring her wishes. While flowers are still welcomed the family prefers donations for the expenses of Kim's wishes and the expenses following her death.
