Kirk "Kook" Kevin Kellams, 65, went home to our heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The son of the late Richard A. and Alice Marcia (Bland) Kellams, Kirk was born October 9, 1956 in Louisville, KY. Kirk was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle, son, and friend. His life was a testament of a man who was truly blessed and loved by many. Kirk grew up in New Albany, IN graduating from New Albany High School in 1974. He varsity lettered in wrestling and football, proudly served on numerous class reunion committees, and was an avid Bulldog sports fan all of his life. Kirk attended Indiana University Bloomington, graduating in 1978 with a B.S. in Business Finance, and where he was a proud member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He passionately supported his Indiana Hoosiers and attended many IU basketball and football games throughout his life. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, TX where he met his wife, Pam, before moving back to New Albany in 1983. Kirk worked as a financial investment advisor for over 30 years at various brokerage firms and enjoyed working with and helping his clients. Kirk was a longtime member of the New Albany Country Club and enjoyed playing golf and attending club-related events. His true passions lay in all things boating, water skiing, horse racing, card playing, coaching NA youth football, treasure hunting, and music. Kirk played the harmonica, guitar, and piano and spent his free time attending concerts with friends and family whenever he could. Kirk lived his life to the fullest with no regrets and his great treasures of all were his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pam (Oxenreider) Kellams; his treasured daughter, Chloe Kellams (fiance Zach Miles); brother, Timothy A. Kellams (Sarah); three nephews, Graham, Alex (Emma), and Evan Kellams; and his faithful golden retriever, Wallace. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14 and from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 15 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN. His funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 15th at St. Marks United Church of Christ, 222 E. Spring Street, New Albany.
