Lou Carlisle

April 5, 1943 – April 2, 2021

Lou Carlisle, 77 of Denton passed away on April 2, 2021, three days before her 78th birthday. Honoring the life and legacy of Lou Sarah (Cole) Carlisle who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was born April 5, 1943, in Abilene to Robert and Clara "Mammer" Cole.

Lou graduated from High School in Levelland, Texas, and attended South Plains College in Levelland. She married Kent "Pop" Carlisle on February 14, 1986. Together they collected lots of photographs and memories traveling and living in many places, including most of the U.S., South America, Europe, and Africa.

Lou believed her Bible was something to be used and not just looked at. She was a strong believer in Christ and a member of Southmont Baptist Church in Denton, Texas. She also loved to decorate spaces and apply her special touch to them. It was not uncommon for her and Kent's home to have paint swatches of different colors on the walls trying to figure out "what's next".

Knowing Granny, she is already decorating a space and making sure it is ready for her family.

Lou is survived by her husband Kent Carlisle of Corinth, 5 Children: Larry (Butch) and Carmen Williams of Abilene, Steve and Geri Williams of Lubbock, Kelly and Steve Owen of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kent D. and Heather Carlisle of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, and David and Anna Williams of The Colony, Texas; two brothers, Bob Cole, and Leon Grant; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
