Ralph Joseph Mauch passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 2 at the Meadows Nursing Home. Ralph was born to Marcella and Leonard Mauch on March 2, 1949 in Adrian,Minnesota. He attended St. Adrian's Catholic School graduating in 1967. He then attended and graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a degree in Agricultural Business. During his college years, he was active in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity as well as farming during summers in Adrian with his father. He served in the United States Army in the Vietnam Era, and then returned to Adrian and farmed throughout his life. In the Army, Ralph qualified as an expert marksman and continued hunting ducks and deer. His hobbies also included a lifelong pursuit of photography, trap shooting, golf, and fishing in local lakes and the Boundary Waters. He joined family members taking extensive trips across the country, picking up rocks and minerals along the way. In later years he helped care for his mother. He is survived by Judy (Dick Mulhair), Dick (Becky Mauch), and Rose (Ray Kuhlman), as well as 7 nieces and nephews. The wake will be held at Dingmann Funeral Home in Adrian on Monday, August 8 from 5 to 8 p.m, with a time of sharing memories at 7:45 pm. Private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association of your choice.
