Obituary

Robert B. Green, 92, passed away November 15 at Meadowood Retirement Home in Bloomington, IN. He was born in 1927 to the late Lula and Wesley Green in Tipton, IN. He was predeceased by sisters Doris Shepherd and Lois Stafford. Robert served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in May, 1946. He was a proud graduate of Wabash College class of 1953, receiving his bachelor's degree in economics. He passed the CPA boards in 1958. He had a long and distinguished career as a CPA in the Indianapolis area, with an extensive tenure in his offices in the Circle Tower Building. He was a long-time member of the Toastmasters International. He raised his family in Brownsburg, IN where he designed and built Green Hills Golf Course as well as Green Hills Estates. He was a Master Gardener in the Hendricks County Master Gardener organization. He was an active woodland and forestry management participant on his farms in Bainbridge and Danville, IN. He is survived by his children Robert J. Green (Becky), Joan Wilson (Michael), Ben Green (Darlene), -grandchildren, Samuel Green, Alexis Green, Abigail Green (Charlotte), Caroline Stachowiak (Adam), Jonathan Green (Lindsy), Stewart Green (Kelsee), Amy Green, greatgrandchildren, Maia Green, Olivia Green, Benjamin Spagnoulo. A funeral service will be held at a future date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington have been entrusted with arrangements.
