Ruth Ann Kiser
July 31, 1945 – March 17, 2021
On Wednesday, March 17, Ruth Ann Kiser, selfless wife, mother, and grandmother of five, passed away at the age of 75.
Ruth Ann was born on July 31, 1945, in Rotan, TX, to Leon and Mabel Price. She accepted Christ and was baptized in the creek at Lueder's Church Camp when she was young. She was a graduate of Rotan High School. She married Jerry Kiser on December 30, 1963, and they raised two children, Roy Kiser and Jennifer Stuckey.
Ruth Ann always considered others before herself, was kind to everyone, and always had a smile on her face. Fitting her personality to serve others, she worked several retail jobs, her last at J.C. Penney’s in Abilene. Students of the 1970s will remember her kindness and smile while serving cinnamon rolls at Johnston Elementary. She also worked for several local flower shops because of her green thumb and was an expert at arranging flowers. She loved volunteering her time with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, teaching Sunday School, and serving on the Benevolence Committee at First Baptist Church.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Jerry Kiser, son Roy Kiser and his wife Gina of Burnet, TX, and daughter Jennifer Stuckey and her husband David of Abilene. Grandchildren include: Derek Kiser and his wife Shelby of Abilene, Drew Kiser and his fiancée Paris Brinkley of Richardson, Luke Kiser of Burnet, TX, Haley Stuckey and Jayton Stuckey of Abilene. The birth of her first great grandson is expected in June. In addition, she is survived by her sister Aurora and her husband Jim Nowlin of Rotan, TX, brother James Price and his wife Becky of Midland, TX, sister in law Carol Price of Rotan, TX, and many nieces/nephews and great-nieces/nephews.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mabel and Leon Price, and brother, Jack Price, all of Rotan, TX.
