Obituary

Shahram Shizzie Faramarzi, 51, of Oceanside, CA, passed away on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Shizzie was born in Tehran, Iran on September 21, 1970, the eldest son of three children to Behnam and Guitti Faramarzi. The family immigrated to Mira Mesa in 1976 before settling down in Oceanside in 1978. Shizzie was survived by his brother Nami Faramarzi, sister Guitta Faramarzi, niece Lyric, nephew Lennox, loving partner Aimee Schmidt, and his many friends.


Shizzie was passionate about life and loved by everyone he met. He had an unforgettable smile and infectious laugh. Shizzie was a humble man who lived as every day was a blessing. The most amazing attribute about Shizzie was his positive outlook and magnetic personality. Everyone who met him saw the love and positive energy that poured out of him.


Shizzie was a soul surfer who you could always find at the beach either surfing, watching the waves, talking with friends both old and new, biking, fishing, camping in his recognizable Raiders motorhome, or ending the day with a beautiful sunset with his devoted partner by his side.


If Shizzie didn’t have his feet in the sand, he had them on the golf course. He was an avid and competitive player who enjoyed getting out on the course weekly with his golf buddies. Shizzie was also passionate about cooking, taking pictures, and spending time with his friends and family.


Shizzie left a lasting impact on everyone he met, he will be truly missed and we will cherish the many wonderful memories in our hearts forever.


A paddle out in Shizzie’s honor will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday March 13th at Cassidy Street Beach in Oceanside with a gathering following at The Privateer in Oceanside at noon.
