Obituary

Died August 8, 2021 after being diagnosed with lung cancer on May 24. She came home July 12 and spent her remaining days with her family and friends, near her always. She was 70 years old. It was a hard battle for her but that struggle is now over. We miss her already very much.


Sheila moved to Sarasota with her daughter Becky in 1980 from Northampton, MA. She worked at Rolling Green, Cypress Inn, Kissin Cuzzins, NBOA, ISS, and retired from Sarasota High School as a registrar in 2019. Most recently she, along with her husband, opened the brand new Paddy Wagon Irish Pub in Clearwater.


She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind a husband Dana, and 3 children…Rebecca Spear (and husband Brian) of Leverett, MA, DJ (and wife Katy) Clark of Odessa, and Frankie Clark (and Jenny) of Clearwater, FL. And, 3 grandchildren…. Gavin Spear of Leverett and Maggie and Evan Clark of Odessa. She is also survived by 3 sisters from Massachesetts…Sarah Grinnell, Marilyn Rossi, and Chris Bator, 4 nieces and nephews also of Massachusetts. A sister-in-law Jean Ann, husband Tim, and 2 nephews of Cocoa, FL.

Her children and grandchildren were most important to her. She was a great friend to her husband, and was loved by her husband, all her family, and many friends. She will be missed but always remembered.
