Teresa Eileen Megginson of Abilene, TX, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Hendrick Medical Center, Abilene, TX.

Born September 18, 1951, in Odessa, TX, Teresa was the daughter of the late P. D. and Golda (Utsey) Jordan. Teresa was raised in Anson, TX. She graduated from Anson High School in 1970. She worked at Hendrick for a short period of time before marrying a husband who was in the Navy. During the time of her marriage, she traveled across the country, as many military spouses find themselves doing. Teresa had an acute knack for remembering peoples’ names, their family members’ names, and where they were currently living.

Teresa was independent and headstrong, and lived at home until she succumbed to difficulties following a stroke. Most importantly, Teresa was a lifelong faithful Christian. Teresa’s three children and her two grandchildren were her greatest joy. Her children and grandchildren will dearly miss their Mother and their Mimi.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Grimes and her daughters, Joselyn and Elizabeth, and sons Jonathon Megginson and James Megginson, all of Abilene, TX, and brother and sister in law Brent and Angie Jordan of Midland, TX. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Teresa's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the Northern Oaks Living and Rehabilitation in Abilene, TX. Your love and care has been a blessing to Teresa and to our family.

Prayers for the family at this time are appreciated.

Memorials may be directed in Teresa’s name to your favorite charity.
