Vincent Grasso died on December 28, 2018, at the age of 90. A wonderful teacher and educator to several generations of Stuyvesant students, he was an inimitable figure to many as the Coordinator of Student Affairs, faculty advisor for SING!, and of course, a teacher, having taught Stage and Media, and Drafting. A true lover of the Arts, he worked hard to ensure that the “new” Stuyvesant on Chambers Street would have facilities to support, stage, media, broadcast, and film. As the Director of the Fall Musical, he introduced countless students to the joys and classics of musical theater, including West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, South Pacific, Pippin, and many more. He is greatly missed, and remembered fondly by all that met him in the halls of Stuyvesant, on-stage, and off.
